2.10.2014 - How Rock Layers are Formed
The Big Ideas -
1. The story of Earth’s geological history is told through the dates of rocks and fossils and where they are found in Earth.
2. The story is complicated when Earth’s surface changes due to erosion, volcanism, and plate movement (uplift, folding, faulting).

1.28.2014 - Tuesday's assignment:
Click Here to go to Windows of the Universe Webpage to do a little further research about the 4 Eras.
For each Era (Cenozoic, Mesazoic, and Paleozoic) including the The Archeanon (Precambrian Era) on your PowerPoint, add the following information using the link above:
1. List 2-3 geologic (Paleogeography) events that occurred during each Era.
Example: During the Mesozoic the continents came together to form the Rocky Mountains, the Red Sea was formed, and the Pangaea formed.
2. Describe in detail what the climate was like during each Era.
3. Explain 3 major plant or animal events that occurred in each Era.
Lastly, make sure you check the dates of the Eras on your PowerPoint to make sure they match up with the dates on the Windows of the Universe Webpage
